Red/White/Black vs Red Crimson/White/Gold. West-East. The Cardinals vs. Lancers. Philadelphia St. vs Young wood St. Whittier High School Cardinals vs La Serna High School Lancers. Now folks, the moment you have all been waiting to see, here is the Whittier-La Serna Volleyball Game w/ Varsity Volleyball Team @ Whittier High School Gym @ 4:30pm. Against the more advanced and high leveled skill players on the team, Whittier Varsity Volleyball team competes against La Serna in 5 sets of the game. Now, the first game, without a stop, La Serna already wins with the first match of 25-17. The second match, Whittier decided to step up their game by improving more techniques and using more energy into their skills during the game.
In between games, Whittier Volleyball Varsity coach calls in time-outs to discuss with the players about what they need and should do to prepare for the next serve or set. According to Google, keeping up their game and skill improvements, La Serna is supposedly successful in volleyball due to their strong attacking players– girls who are very advanced and thrilling players who are willing to show the coach, the team and the other schools what they got, what great potential they have and what great skills they have that could impact their team’s status and image! But I feel that Whittier is better. That’s just what I think. Yes, I know I may be a bit biased and I’m rooting for all the girls, not just my family and friends. Anyways, La Serna won the second match with a 25-23. Then, La Serna won the third match, 25-9, 3 in a row. Best of 3 out of 5 matches in Varsity Volleyball. It was a pretty good game and I can’t wait to see more coming up! -Leilani H.
